Control Valves
Control Valves
Curtiss-Wright Nuclear provides a range of control valves to meet the needs of the worldwide nuclear power generation industry and Department of Energy National Laboratories. Our support for the industry ranges from supporting equipment from solving obsolescence, to subsequent license renewal, and new construction of next generation reactors and facilities.

Marotta Control Valves
Marotta has been supplying engineered solenoid and check valves to the nuclear power industry for over 40 years. These solenoid valves have been widely used in fuel transfer application for the CANDU reactor design, while Marotta check valves have been used in multiple applications across the industry.
In the Mid-1990s Marotta retired their ASME N and NPT stamps and to ensure that the nuclear industry would continue to receive support for Marotta products, Enertech and Marotta formed an exclusive partnership. Through this partnership, Enertech has been approved to manufacture Marotta Safety-Related and ASME Code Section III valves under its Appendix B program and ASME N and NPT Stamps.

Ringo Control Valves
Curtiss-Wright has partnered with Ringo Valves to provide the US nuclear power market with control valves. Located in Zaragoza, Spain, Ringo valves has designed and manufactured their cast and forged valves for over 30 years. Their high QA standards, including ANSI and ASME, make them an international leader in the valve industry, and Ringo prides itself on providing only the highest level of valve technology. Available in a variety of sizes, valve types, and materials, Ringo valves provide a wide range of solutions to any problem.
Control valves function differently than other valves; rather than shutting off or turning on the flow in a system, they modulate the pressure or flow rate moving through a system. This can be a stressful job for many valves, since the process of reducing pressure and flow generates things like heat, turbulence, vibration, noise and component wear. However, Ringo's cage guided design is built for these heavy-duty applications, using a cage to reduce some of the negative impacts of reducing flow and pressure. Curtiss-Wright provides Ringo's Cage Guided control valve designs for nuclear applications.
