High Voltage Bushing Box Gasket

Problem

OEM supplied gaskets for High Voltage Bushing Box Gasket applications have had a history of leaking due to the poor sealing ability of the original Cork/Neoprene gasket provided. A lack of good sealing surfaces and limiting bolting load available caused even Garlock Style 3200 gaskets to fail.

Solution

Upgrading to a ePTFE gasket such as Gore Powergrade with a reduced area successfully sealed the application. ePTFE is the best alternative for sheet, rubber and cork/neo gaskets for Hydrogen and Generator Applications that require high dielectric qualities.
