Gypsum Slurry Piping Expansion Joint Failure

Problem

The rubber expansion joint prematurely failed at a plant due to the piping not lining up, and the excessive over-stretching of the joint.

Solution

AP Services custom engineered an expansion joint with the appropriate off sets to handle the miss-aligned piping system. In this case we had the joint built with a 1” vertical and a 1-3/4” horizontal off set.
