Problem

Gland Seal Casing, Rotor Gland Joint was at 20 psi to full vacuum at 500°F was leaking with a simple gasket of 1/16” thick soft iron, dove-tailed due to size and design.

Solution

Replacement with a special designed segmented Kammprofile (Flexitallic Flexpro gasket) has been successfully in service since 2006.
