Curtiss-Wright Nuclear to Present at the FLMUG & BAUG Winter Meeting
January 10, 2018
Curtiss-Wright Nuclear will be giving three presentations at the 2018 Fluid Leak Management Users Group (FLMUG) & Boric Acid Users Group (BAUG) Winter Meeting.
EPRI FLM Guide Overview: Dave Steffen is partnering with Gary Boles (EPRI) to discuss the EPRI Fluid Leak Management Guide – the industry standard for tracking and trending leaks. The presentation will focus on the basic concepts of establishing and maintaining an effective Fluid Leak Management program.
Bolted Joint Basics: In this presentation, Michael O’Connor will discuss the fundamental characteristics of preload and stiffness. Attendees can expect to learn: the basic criteria for ensuring bolted joints work effectively and safely; the uncertainties associated with various methods of applying and measuring preload; how external loads affect the joint; and why the joint should offset a greater percentage of external loads than the bolts themselves.
Field Setup & Use of the HydraNut® System:The HydraNut bolt tensioning system is a revolutionary Curtiss-Wright product for tensioning and detensioning critical bolting applications. In this presentation, Claire Dinkel will discuss installation, use, and lessons learned with the HydraNut system.
The FLMUG & BAUG winter meeting takes place at an annual conference and expo alongside the MOV Users Group (MUG), AOV Users Group (AUG), and Compressed Air Nuclear Users Group (CANUG) meetings. This year’s event will be held in New Orleans, LA from January 15 to 19. Curtiss-Wright Nuclear will be exhibiting at Booth #220.
