As part of the 2019 AUG MUG Annual Conference and Expo, Curtiss-Wright Nuclear will be hosting an all-day training workshop at our Brea, CA facility. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, January 15th. The workshop agenda covers hands-on training, demonstrations, best maintenance practices, a facility tour, and more. Round trip transportation from the conference and lunch will be provided.

Conval Training Workshop

• Hands-on training - Disassembly, assembly, and troubleshooting of Clampseal Y-pattern globe valves and Camseal top entry metal seated ball valves

• Training session - Hardfacing overlays on Clampseal Y-pattern valves and various applied coating options for the Camseal metal seated ball valves

Metso/Jamesbury Training Workshop

• Hands-on training - Troubleshooting and disassembling a Metso/Jamesbury 815 wafer butterfly valve; reassembling with a new seat and polishing the disc

• Demonstration - Replacing an actuator and setting the stops without removing the butterfly from the line

• Demonstration - Replacing an actuator and setting the stops without removing the butterfly from the line

• Training session - Seat materials and applications

• Demonstration - Double offset design for high cycle applications

• Training session - Best maintenance practices on adjusting the packing case to prevent stem seal leaks

2 p.m. - Bus departs from Curtiss-Wright Nuclear (Brea, CA)

4 p.m. (tentative) - Bus arrives at JW Marriott (Palm Desert, CA)
