The Tricycle Challenge

December 12, 2017

Curtiss-Wright Nuclear recognizes the importance of giving back to the local community, especially during the holiday season. This year, the Brea office used a team building exercise as an opportunity to support a good cause.

The activity began with the Brea team dividing into groups for a charitable competition. The challenge? To be the first team to successfully assemble a tricycle. The cause? To donate a set of tricycles to a local children’s shelter. Team 4 walked away with first place, but everyone who participated learned a few lessons about the importance of charity, the value of teamwork, and the intricacies of assembling children’s toys.

After the contest, the tricycles were checked for safe assembly and donated to the Orangewood Children and Family Center – an emergency shelter care facility in Orange, CA.
